Message from the President of the IALP | IALP : International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders (IALP)Message from the President of the IALP – IALP : International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders (IALP)
For those of you who attended the recent 30th IALP Congress in Dublin, I'm sure you agree with me that it was a marvelous and unforgettable experience. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the organizing committee for creating such a warm and hospitable atmosphere for all. We were so touched by the performances of the opening ceremony and were so thrilled to watch the Irish dance at the gala and also to enjoy the friendly outpouring of emotions at the end of our closing ceremony.
The main reports were absolutely cutting edge and the scientific discussions were fruitful. The poster sessions were stimulating and all the teas and sandwiches were delicious. I want to thank Aoife, Irene and Mary Rose for their attention to details. Indeed it was teamwork and we express our deepest appreciation for this wonderful team.
We are now looking forward to the planning and organization of an exciting Congress in Taiwan, China in 2019. I offer my congratulations to New Zealand for winning the bid for the 2022 Congress. The board looks forward to working with all the committees and affiliate societies to ensure that we continue to work on improving the quality of life of people and to advocate for communication as a human right. I am honored to be able to serve as president and pledge my commitment and devotion to IALP.
Last but not least, my deepest appreciation to all the past presidents, board members and committee chairs and members for your tireless efforts and support. Three bows to you. I would love to hear from you and please let me know how we can improve our work.
